For a fraction of the cost of a private tour or taxi, I was able to see all the major attractions in Macau, from the historic Senado Square to the bustling Cotai Strip. The bus tour was convenient, affordable, and offered a great way to get a feel for the city.
My day started early, as I boarded the bus at the designated pickup point.
Our first stop was Senado Square, a beautiful historic district that's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The square is surrounded by stunning colonial-era buildings, including the iconic Senado Building, which dates back to the 18th century. As we wandered through the square, Maria told us about the history of the area and the significance of the buildings.
After a quick lunch break, we headed to the Cotai Strip, a bustling area that's home to some of Macau's most famous casinos and hotels. The strip is a shopper's paradise, with everything from high-end designer boutiques to affordable souvenir shops. As we strolled along the strip, Maria pointed out some of the most popular attractions, including the iconic Venetian Macao and the City of Dreams.
As the day drew to a close, I reflected on how much I had seen and experienced. From the historic Senado Square to the bustling Cotai Strip, Macau is a city that has something for everyone. And, thanks to the bus, I was able to see it all without breaking the bank.
